Ty's Track List - December Tunes
Mitchell Tenpenny feat. Seaforth - “Anything She Says”
These two are going on tour and I seriously want to go to every show. Mitchell & Seaforth were MEANT to be on a track (and tour) together. Plus, they’re both hilarious and their music deserves to be on repeat.
Candi Carpenter - “Little Sparrow”
Dolly’s favorite up-and-comer is paying homage to the Queen. Produced by Brandi Carlile, Candi puts her own spin on a timeless track and I’m here for it. Can we please get a song with Dolly, Candi, and Brandi together?
Maren Morris - “The Bones”
Fresh off winning Album of the Year at this year’s CMAs, Maren Morris is dominating the industry. This track is the best feel-good relationship song, and Morris recently released a version with Hozier that I can’t stop listening to.
Ryan Hurd - “Wish for the World”
It’s no secret, Ryan Hurd is an incredible songwriter and this song is no exception. It’s all about how great the world would be if everyone found their soulmates (I promise, they’re out there!) Once you start to think about this song in terms of Ryan and Maren Morris, your heart will skip a beat. And baby soon to make 3!
Miranda Lambert - “It All Comes Out in the Wash”
This song is a great example of perfect songwriting. Written by Nashville powerhouses Hillary Lindsey, Liz Rose, Lori McKenna, and Miranda Lambert, it’s a fun play on words. It’s all about how things just happen and everything works out in the end!
Dylan Scott - “Nobody”
“Nobody” loves a little Dylan Scott in their day more than me! The chorus of this one will be stuck in your head 24/7 (you’ve been warned).
Dustin Lynch - “Little Town Livin’”
Shoutout to all the small town listeners out there! Lynch gives off some serious “Dirt Road Anthem” Jason Aldean vibes here… and I am grateful he dropped med-school for music!
Matt Stell - “Everywhere But On”
Coming off his recent #1, Matt is about to take country music by storm. Personally, I think this track is going to be even bigger than “Prayed for You.” It’s all about heartbreak and everything you do to try and get over it; we’ve all been through that.
Chance McKinney - "Don’t Wanna Be Taillights"
Man, this guy has a deep voice (think Josh Turner). I love McKinney’s symbolism here and how he is talking about a big fight that leads to her leaving… and all he can see is her taillights. Do they end up back together? Have to listen to find out…
Gabby Barrett - “I Hope”
I hope you give this track a shot, because Gabby is the real deal. I just hosted a show with her and can guarantee we’ll be seeing big things from her in 2020. She’s a powerhouse and this song proves it! It’s sassy and I can’t stop listening to it.
